Behind the nickname “Weka Mawe” is Ferdinand Omondi, popularly known as Mbavu Destroyer or “The Stone”.

He added that he can go an entire day without food, something he links to the difficult conditions he grew up in.
Where the Name ‘The Stone’ Came From
Mbavu Destroyer revealed that his mother once told him words that stayed with him for life.
“My mother told me, ‘You are a stone.’”
He says this statement shaped his identity and later inspired the nickname “The Stone”, as well as the phrase “weka mawe”, which has since become closely associated with him.

Ready for the Majembe Fight
Mbavu Destroyer confirmed that he is fully prepared for his upcoming boxing match against Majembe. He expressed confidence and said he fears no opponent.
