Kenyan professional golfer Greg Snow believes he is well prepared for the upcoming Magical Kenya Open, following a demanding start to the season that has provided ample competitive exposure.

Snow, who has featured in several tournaments since the start of the year, says the heavy schedule has tested both his game and physical endurance but ultimately left him better positioned for one of the country’s biggest sporting events, set for February 19–22 at Karen Country and Golf Club.

“It’s been a long season, to be honest. We’ve played a lot of tournaments since the beginning of the year, so it’s been tough,” said Snow. “But we now have a couple of weeks off to touch up a few things in my game and get ready for the Magical Kenya Open.”

The Muthaiga pro said his focus during the break will not involve major technical changes, but just fine-tuning and recovery after a particularly intense run of events over the last three weeks.

“In terms of tournament preparation, I think we’re already prepared,” he noted. “It’s more about small adjustments now and making sure everything is sharp going into that week.”

Snow also acknowledged the physical toll of back-to-back tournaments, describing the recent stretch as demanding, but welcomed the opportunity to rest and recover ahead of the Open.

“The last three events were tough physically, but this break comes at the right time. I’ll recover, rest, and make sure I’m fresh for the tournament,” he said.

As one of the Kenyan professionals expected to carry local hopes at the event, Snow kept his expectations measured, stressing consistency and enjoyment over pressure.

“My expectation is just to have a good four days, put four solid scores together and see what happens,” he said. “If you can do that, anything is possible.”

The Magical Kenya Open, part of the DP World Tour, will bring together 144 top international golfers alongside leading regional professionals, offering Kenyan players a rare opportunity to test themselves against elite competition on home soil.
