In an official statement, the office said the posts in question are unauthorised and “do not in any way present the views or position of Uhuru Kenyatta.”

It urged Kenyans to exercise caution when sharing online content.

“We wish to remind the public that any official communication from the retired President or his office will only be disseminated through our established and verified channels: Office of the 4th President or the official Jubilee Party verified platforms,” the statement said.

The statement emphasised that the office is committed to sharing accurate information in a timely manner, ensuring that the public remains reliably informed.

“The office remains committed to ensuring that accurate information is shared promptly and in a timely manner,” it said.

Citizens were also called upon to verify information before sharing it online.

The office warned that spreading falsehoods undermines public trust and can damage the dignity of the former President’s office.

“We urge all citizens to exercise vigilance, verify information before sharing, and avoid amplifying falsehoods that erode public trust,” the statement read.

The office also highlighted the importance of maintaining the dignity of the position. “The dignity of the Office of the 4th President of Kenya remains paramount,” it said.

The statement concluded with a reaffirmation of the office’s commitment to ethical conduct in all communications. “We reaffirm our commitment to transparency, integrity, and respect in all our engagements,” the statement said.

The communication was signed by Kanze Dena Mararo, Secretary of Communication.

The warning comes amid growing concerns over misinformation online and the rapid spread of unverified content.

Social media platforms have become central to public discourse, but they also carry risks of false reporting and deliberate manipulation.

By clarifying its official channels, Uhuru Kenyatta’s office seeks to protect the integrity of information associated with the former President and ensure that the public receives reliable news. The statement encourages all Kenyans to remain vigilant and to rely on verified sources for updates.
