
The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics has advertised 31 vacancies across several departments as it seeks to strengthen its technical and administrative capacity.
In a notice released by the State corporation, KNBS said the positions are open to qualified and experienced Kenyans and will be offered on permanent and pensionable terms.
The vacancies include 21 Statisticians (Level 6), one Cartographer (Level 6), five Assistant Statisticians in Field Services (Level 8), one Accounts Assistant (Level 8), two Assistant ICT Officers (Level 8), and one Assistant Office Administrator (Level 8).
According to the notice, applicants are required to complete and submit the official employment application form, Ref. KNBS/F/93/29, available on the agency’s website.
Applicants are also required to upload a Cover letter, National Identity card/Passport copy and a Curriculum Vitae.
The documents should also include certified copies of academic, professional and other relevant certificates, transcripts and all other testimonials as one single document in pdf format.
Only online applications will be accepted.
The deadline for submission is January 27, 2026, after which only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
KNBS emphasised that it is an equal opportunity employer and encouraged women, persons with disabilities, minorities, and marginalised groups to apply.
The institution is certified under ISO 9001:2015.
The agency, established under the Statistics Act of 2006, serves as the government’s principal body for collecting, analysing, and disseminating official statistical information, and is mandated to coordinate activities within the National Statistical System.
The Intergovernmental Relations Technical Committee (IGRTC) and the Ministry of Roads and Transport have also announced new job openings, inviting qualified Kenyans to submit applications.
In its notice, IGRTC said it is seeking to fill the position of Chairperson – Audit Committee.
The Committee, established under Section 11 of the Intergovernmental Relations Act of 2012, supports the implementation of decisions made by the National and County Coordinating Summit and the Council of Governors.
IGRTC stated that interested candidates must submit a detailed and updated curriculum vitae, copies of academic certificates, and a National ID.
Applications may be delivered physically to the Chief Executive Officer at Parklands Plaza, Westlands, or emailed to [email protected] with the subject line indicating the position title.
The deadline for submission is February 3, 2026, at 5 pm. Full details are available on the agency’s website.
The Ministry of Roads and Transport, through the State Department for Roads, also invited applications for the position of Artisan Materials (Laboratory Technician) III.
Thirteen positions are available under Job Group CSG 13.
Applicants are required to complete the PSC 2 (Revised 2016) application form, which can be downloaded from the Public Service Commission website.
The Ministry said completed forms may be posted to the Principal Secretary at the State Department for Roads or hand-delivered to the Human Resource Management registry at Transcom House, 5th Floor, on or before February 3, the deadline.
The Ministry noted that persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply and cautioned that canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, and they will be required to present original identification and academic documents during interviews.
