Kenyan content creator Stevo Simple Boy has shared details about his current relationship and his personal views on marriage during a recent interview with media personality Dr. Ofweneke.
The candid conversation touched on how the relationship began, their early domestic life, and the qualities he believes define a suitable life partner.
A Relationship Guided by Time and Faith
During the interview, Stevo revealed that he has known his current partner for approximately one and a half years. He attributed the progression of the relationship to patience and faith rather than urgency.
Reflecting on timing and destiny, the creator said, “Nasema kila kitu kila kitu na Mungu anapanga... unaweza kimbilia kitu na Mungu akukupangia hiyo,” explaining that while people may rush into relationships, he believes life follows a divine plan.
Meeting Through Social Media
Stevo disclosed that the relationship began on TikTok, a platform increasingly associated with personal connections.
When asked who made the first move, he clarified, “Mimi ndiye nilisema hi wa kwanza,” confirming that he initiated contact by sending the first message.

He further explained that their first physical meeting did not follow conventional dating expectations. At the time, Stevo was traveling to Kisumu for a performance.
After returning, his partner visited him at his home in Muthaiga, marking the start of their life together. Describing the unconventional beginning, he noted, “Hata hata date sikumpeleka... siku ya kwanza tu kwa nyumba sleepover.”
Early Domestic Life Together
According to Stevo, the early days of living together were defined by simplicity and cooperation. He stated that his partner did not demand expensive outings or elaborate arrangements. Instead, they focused on home life and shared responsibilities.
He recalled that their meals consisted of basic, home-cooked food, saying, “Kenye tulipika ni siku mawiki, mayi na ugali.”
The creator emphasized that household duties were not left to one person, adding, “Nilikuwa namsaidia,” to describe his involvement in cooking and daily chores.

Stevo’s Definition of “Wife Material”
A significant portion of the interview focused on Stevo’s perspective on marriage and what he considers “wife material.”
Central to his definition was financial discipline. He illustrated this using a simple example, explaining that a responsible partner understands how to manage limited resources.
“Wife material kwa kwanza ah unamjaribu na kitu kidogo niko nayo... kama ni 100 anatumia 50, hiyo 50 anaweka.” He illustrated.
Beyond finances, Stevo outlined domestic responsibilities as part of commitment within marriage. He listed organizing the home, doing laundry, and cooking as indicators of dedication to family life. “Anapanga nyumba, anafua, anakupikia.” He said.
He also emphasized the importance of family relationships, stating that a suitable partner should value both her own family and her husband’s. “Wife material ana Faa apende familia yako na pia wewe upende familia yake.” He stated.

Family Values Over Social Trends
Stevo contrasted his expectations with lifestyles centered on frequent social outings. He stated that prioritizing clubbing, parties, or costly food requests does not align with his vision of marriage.
According to him, stability, responsibility, and focus on home form the foundation of a lasting union.
