The Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) is receiving a major facelift with the completion of a new modern pavement, aimed at improving pedestrian safety and enhancing the city’s urban appeal.

The project, spearheaded by the Nairobi City County government, is part of ongoing efforts to modernise the capital and make it more pedestrian-friendly.

The newly constructed pavement stretches along key streets in the CBD, featuring high-quality interlocking tiles, designated walkways, and ramps to accommodate people with disabilities.

Residents and pedestrians have also expressed satisfaction, highlighting that the new pavement makes walking in the CBD safer and more comfortable.

The county government has promised to maintain the pavement regularly and expand similar upgrades to other parts of Nairobi, reinforcing its vision of a modern and inclusive urban environment.
