A recent action between Soy United and Nairobi City Stars/SOY UNITEDThe National Super League (NSL) resumes on Wednesday after the festive season break with two rescheduled fixtures.
At the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Grounds in Eldoret, Soy United will seek to end Equity Bank’s impressive run. Soy United head coach Jeffers Odongo said his team is keen to start the year on a positive note.
“Equity Bank are on a three-game winning streak, but we have a good home record and want to maintain it. We want to begin the year by collecting all three points,” Odongo said on Monday.

The coach also revealed that the club will strengthen its squad during the mid-season transfer window, which opened on Monday.
“We will not make major changes, but we intend to sign about four players. There are areas we identified as weak during the first leg,” he said.

Despite Soy United remaining winless away from home, Odongo expressed confidence that the team has found solutions to their struggles on the road.
“Going forward, our away performances will improve,” he added.
Equity Bank currently sit seventh on the league table with 19 points, while Soy United are 14th with 15.
In the other rescheduled match, Darajani Gogo, who are 11th on the standings, will host newcomers Gucha Sats at Vapor Grounds in Ngong'.
Darajani Gogo head into the fixture amid upheaval after head coach Andrew Ongwae left the club to join SportPesa League side Shabana FC as second assistant coach.
In a statement, Darajani Gogo praised Ongwae for his contribution to the club, describing his tenure as transformative.
“Your time with us has been nothing short of remarkable. You gave the club identity, structure and belief. While your presence will be missed, your impact will continue to be felt,” the statement read, as the club wished him well in his new role.
Gucha Stars' final match of last year against Mombasa United failed to kick off following a disagreement over kick-off time.
Meanwhile, former Premier League side Talanta FC will host Mully Children’s Family (MCF) at Ruaraka Grounds in Nairobi on Friday.
