A spirit of giving lit up Pumwani Maternity Hospital on Saturday when Kenya’s outgoing Ambassador to Ethiopia, H.E. Amb. George M. Orina, MBS, joined hands with the Kenyan Diaspora in Ethiopia to support mothers and families in need.

Ambassador Orina, who also serves as Patron of the Kenya Wananchi Association in Ethiopia, led the charity drive alongside Ms. Julia Salim, Chairperson of the Association.

The event underscored the Diaspora’s commitment to strengthening ties with their homeland while extending solidarity to their Ethiopian neighbors.

The initiative is part of Ambassador Orina’s continuing engagement with Kenyans abroad, consistent with the President’s objective of mainstreaming the Diaspora into the country’s social and economic development agenda.
