Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko’s daughter, Sandra, also known as Thickyy Sandra on social media, has reacted publicly to her father’s latest political milestone.
This comes shortly after Sonko received the full registration certificate for his political outfit, the National Economic Development Party (NEDP), from the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP).
Through a post shared on her Instagram page, Sandra reposted the announcement and captioned it with the words, “let’s run it,” signaling her acknowledgment of the development.
The phrase was accompanied by celebratory emojis, reflecting her response to her father’s official entry into the political arena with a fully registered party.
Sonko Receives NEDP Registration Certificate
Earlier, Mike Sonko was formally issued with the party registration certificate at the ORPP headquarters located at Lion Place in Westlands, Nairobi.
Officials from the registrar’s office conducted the handover, marking the completion of the party’s registration process under the Political Parties Act.
The certification grants NEDP the legal mandate to operate as a political party in Kenya, enabling it to recruit members, open offices, participate in political activities, and field candidates in elections.

Sonko has previously indicated that the party aims to engage in national political affairs, although he is yet to outline specific political plans under the new entity.

Sandra’s Public Presence and Social Media Influence
Sandra, who maintains a strong presence on Instagram, frequently comments on family-related milestones and publicly interacts with posts featuring her father.
Her online platforms often attract attention due to her lifestyle content and large following.
Her latest reaction added to the growing online conversation surrounding Sonko’s political moves, though she did not give further details beyond the brief caption.
Sandra has occasionally supported family achievements on her social pages, and her acknowledgment of NEDP’s registration is among her most recent public statements.

Mike Sonko, a former senator and governor, has remained active in political discussions despite being out of elective office.
Over the past year, he has appeared in several public forums and interviews, occasionally hinting at future political interests.
The formation and registration of NEDP marks a new organizational step in his political activities.
With the registration process now complete, the party is positioned to begin official operations ahead of the country’s upcoming political calendar.
