Respected podcaster and media personality Dr Ofweneke has publicly addressed the family of the late gospel artist Betty Bayo, urging them to immediately remove her daughter, Sky Victor, from social media platforms.
The podcaster made his appeal in a video shared via his Instagram account.
He stressed that he usually avoids commenting on other people's affairs on social media, preferring to stay focused on his work.
However, Dr Ofweneke stated that this specific issue was "very deep in [his] heart," prompting him to share his opinion respectfully and with love for the family.

An Immediate Call for Protection
Dr Ofweneke began his address with a clear demand for immediate action. He insisted that somebody must take away Sky Kanyari’s phone.
He followed this by stating that Sky needs to be kept off social media for a while. The podcaster argued that protection is necessary before it is too late to intervene.
“First of all, Sky Kanyari's phone needs to be taken away. And number two, Sky should be kept off social media for a while.”
Grieving Away From the World
A key reason for the intervention, according to Dr Ofweneke, is Sky’s youth and need to grieve privately.
He reminded listeners that Sky is still a very young child. She is still a young girl whose maturity and ability to handle things are still developing.
The podcaster highlighted the devastating loss the young girl has just faced. He noted that she had just lost her mother, stating, "For heaven's sake".

Sky must be allowed to grieve like any other normal person. He believes she needs to start the stages of grief away from social media and any form of public exposure. Dr Ofweneke warned the family that ignoring this could lead to serious long-term issues.

“Before you know it, what you cannot prevent now will grow into a trauma and something you guys may not be able to handle later on.”
The Burden of Family Appearance
Dr Ofweneke also expressed concern about the role Sky has been made to play publicly. He believes that the entire responsibility of demonstrating how peaceful and calm the family is has been left to the young girl.
Sky has portrayed the family as very composed during this difficult season.
This includes her showing the public how she is managing relationships with both her fathers, Tash and Prophet Kanyari.
The podcaster labelled this role "too much baggage for a young girl". He noted that Sky clearly exhibits her father's character, being bubbly and outspoken.
However, Dr Ofweneke insisted that "it's not the time to release Sky to the world yet".

Protecting a Bright Star
Speaking as a father himself, Dr Ofweneke urged both Tash and Prophet Kanyari, along with the family of the late Betty B, to protect the girl while it is still early enough.
He reiterated that Sky has a very bright future ahead of her. If she is already overly exposed to social media, her life will be intensely scrutinised. He cautioned that this level of inspection may be more than she can handle.
“All I'm saying is as a father, keep Sky off social media for a while. Protect the star otherwise it will not end up well,” Dr Ofweneke concluded.
