Content creator Pritty Vishy has taken to social media to directly address public scrutiny following her decision to undergo a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure.
The star is educating her critics on the technical difference between the surgery she had and what she terms "plastic surgery".
Her clarification comes amid a heated online debate among content creators regarding body enhancement, notably after fellow creator Chebet Ronoh publicly dismissed such procedures.

The Cosmetic vs. Plastic Surgery Distinction
Responding to the controversy on her Instagram Stories, Pritty Vishy clarified the terminology surrounding her BBL. She insisted that procedures like the one she had are specifically cosmetic surgery.
Vishy differentiated the two types of surgery based on permanence and weight management.
"Another thing, it's not plastic surgery, it's 'cosmetic surgery' which means you can gain the weight back if you don't check your diet regularly and exercise".

She then defined plastic surgery as a more permanent procedure, often involving foreign material like silicone.

"Plastic surgery ni maybe ukiekwa silicon, that one you can't add weight, 'that's why watu hufanya breast (imeekwa silicon)it can't be big unless wachange the silicon".
Vishy signed off by thanking those who follow the trend, adding, "bbl girlies wamewaapea content ya the whole month jibambeni. your opinions matter too".
Refuting the Self-Love Critique
Vishy also used her platform to challenge the common criticism that individuals who undergo cosmetic surgery lack self-love. She highlighted the irony in judgment from those who have not experienced the procedure.
"Imagine telling someone she doesn't love herself because she has done what you can't do (surgery), you being against it is cool coz I mean it's not by force".
She described the argument as "wild" in people's claim, "you can’t tell me you love yourself, and you have gone under a knife".
The Context: Chebet Ronoh’s Rejection
Vishy’s assertive defence comes shortly after fellow creator Chebet Ronoh firmly rejected the trend of surgical enhancement.

Ronoh revealed on her X account that she repeatedly turned down offers from surgeons promoting BBL and declined partnerships for Ozempic-related weight-loss brands.
Ronoh stated she found the offers "insulting."

"All those Ozempic brands and bbl guru doctors approached me, and to be honest, it was insulting."
She maintained that her own significant body transformation was achieved entirely naturally, asserting full autonomy over her body.
"I am made of cells that I can visualize and tell them to look like this as I extend my arm, and it will!! I am the author of my body, it listens to me and me only, MOVE MAN.”

In recent weeks, Kenyan female content creators have openly shared their cosmetic surgery journeys.
Vera Sidika, Gloria Ntazola, Pritty Vishy, and Lydia Wanjiru are among the influencers who have openly talked about their beauty enhancement procedures.
