The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has announced a major recruitment drive to fill 25 positions across several departments.

CA, the national regulator for the ICT sector, said the vacancies span senior leadership, technical services, legal affairs, cyber security and administrative functions.

In a public notice on Tuesday, CA stated that it is seeking “highly competent, proactive, and self-driven individuals” to support its mandate.

Detailed job descriptions are available on the Authority’s online careers portal.

The advertised positions include Director, Universal Service Fund, Director, Competition Management, Consumer Protection and Corporate Communications, Director, Finance & Accounts, Deputy Director, Expenditure & Treasury Management and Deputy Director, Consumer Protection & Empowerment.

Others are those of Deputy Director, Planning and Project Management, Principal Officer, Administration, Senior Officer, Organizational Development, Senior Administration Officer, Security and Officer II, Frequency Planning & Licensing and Officer II, Frequency Monitoring & Compliance.

Officer II, Standards & Numbering, Officer II, Cyber Investigations & Forensics,Administration Officer II, Property Management,Administration Officer II, Insurance, Officer II, Project Development and Officer II, Telecoms Inspection & Compliance (four positions).

CA is also looking to fill the vacancies of Legal Officer II, Governance & Regulatory Affairs, Legal Officer II, Litigation, Legal Officer II, Commercial Services, Officer II, Broadcasting Licensing andOffice Assistant III.

Applicants have been directed to submit a signed cover letter, detailed curriculum vitae with contacts for three referees, a copy of their national ID, and certified academic and professional certificates.

Applications are to be submitted via the Authority’s careers platform at https://careers.ca.go.ke no later than December 22, at 5pm.

CA noted that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.

Successful candidates will also be required to comply with Chapter Six of the Constitution by presenting a valid KRA tax clearance certificate, HELB clearance, a certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, an EACC self-declaration form and CRB clearance.

The Authority emphasised that canvassing will result in automatic disqualification.

It also encouraged qualified Kenyans, including persons with disabilities, to apply.

“The Authority is an equal opportunity employer,” the notice said.

CA added that its compensation packages align with its Human Resource Policies and government guidelines.

The Authority regulates telecommunications, broadcasting, e-commerce, multimedia, cyber security, postal and courier services, and oversees national numbering and frequency spectrum resources.

CA also manages the Universal Service Fund (USF) and protects the rights of ICT service users.
