Musician Charisma has revealed the unusual story behind his prolific collection of women's brassieres.
During an appearance on the Iko Nini Podcast with Mwafreeka, the artist explained that the garments are gifts tossed onto the stage by ecstatic fans.
Charisma recently confirmed that his current inventory stands at 104 bras. The phenomenon began during his first solo concert after his album.
The Night the Bras Appeared
Charisma recalled the exact moment the stage offerings started. He was performing the track "Maria nivulie sidiria" (Maria, take off your bra).
He heard a loud noise: "Nikaskia tu boom boom boom bro hiyo day walitupa bra siwadanganyi."

The artist, who is now in his 12th year as a musician, said he was genuinely surprised.
“Nilikuwa in shock… nilikuwa in shock for real.”
In the moment, he reacted spontaneously. He picked up the thrown bras and waved them around like a street vendor. He noted that when he lifted them, the crowd went crazy.
Inventory and Storage Issues
The musician, who started his solo career after leaving his previous group, confirmed that the items are still "at home". However, storing them proved challenging.
Charisma admitted that some of the items were worn out with sweat. His big mistake was failing to wash them immediately.

“I never used to take them to the laundry, I used just to throw them into a closet, bro kakaanza kunuka eh uvundo.”
He eventually stored the entire collection in two full sacks. He confirmed that he still plans to take the sacks of garments to the laundry "hivi karibuni" (very soon).
An Unconventional Accessory
One of the most notable uses of the collected items occurred after Charisma broke his arm in a motocross accident. He refused to let the injury stop his performance.
The musician appeared on stage for a major show while wearing a sling.

“I had broken my arm, so do you know what I did? Nilikuja kwanza stage na sling… but nilitengeneza sling na mabra zenye zilitupwa kwangu. So sling yangu ilikuwa ya bras.”
Despite the excitement from fans, the unique custom has upset his family. Charisma stated that his mother, who follows him on TikTok, "anachukianga vile mademu hunitupia bra".
Charisma believes that his song lyrics, specifically the phrase "nivulie sidiria" (take off your bra for me), imply consent. This makes the song "more palatable" than a more explicit rap lyric.
