Veteran coastal musician Nyota Ndogo has expertly shut down a social media troll who targeted her skin tone.
The singer used her Instagram page to deliver a witty and confident reply to a comment that criticised her dark complexion.
The Bold Response on Instagram
Nyota Ndogo shared a stunning photo of herself wearing a vibrant red, off-shoulder dress.
The musician revealed that someone had left a hateful comment about her appearance.

"Kuna mtu aliandika kwenye comment akasema shida yangu mimi ni mweusi sana."
The comment suggested that her "problem" was being too dark-skinned. Nyota Ndogo addressed this directly in her caption, turning the insult into a celebration of her unique colour.
"Sasa nakujibu, hii rangi sio eti ni gali, ni haipatikani dukani, kwa hivyo ni special."
Her reply, which roughly translates to "This colour is not that it's expensive, it’s because you can never find it in the shop, therefore it is special," swiftly won applause from her followers.
Netizens flooded her comments with supportive messages, celebrating her pride and beauty.
