Gospel musician Mr Seed has shared a deeply emotional tribute to the late Betty Bayo on what would have been her birthday.

The messages were posted across a series of Instagram Stories four days after Bayo’s burial, highlighting the profound impact she had on his life and career.

The tribute comes just days after the gospel music fraternity mourned the passing of Bayo, a well-known figure who succumbed to blood cancer (leukaemia) after a brief battle.

Mr Seed’s posts focused heavily on the professional and personal guidance he received from Bayo.

He shared a photo of them, standing on stage at a past awards ceremony, holding trophies.

The musician revealed that Bayo was instrumental in securing one of the biggest accolades of his early career.

"Happy birthday to you, Bayo. The 1st and last Groove awards I got through you... You were a blessing to me."

Seed’s post confirms a key statistic: she helped him win his first and last Groove Awards, an event widely considered the pinnacle of Kenyan gospel music achievement.

He added that her support began when he was quite young, establishing a relationship built on trust and belief.
