During the interview, the 30-year-old content creator, who celebrates his birthday on Thursday, discussed various issues, including his recent phone loss.

He revealed that he had lost over 371 videos and professional projects, highlighting the extensive nature of his work as a photographer and TikToker.

A Father’s Uncompromising Warning

The conversation shifted to the important topic of Gender-Based Violence (GBV). The month has been marked by increased GBV awareness.

Baba Talisha was asked how he would react if his daughter, Talisha, suffered a similar fate to Mike Sonko’s daughter.

Talisha is currently nearing her eighth birthday.

Drawing on his personal upbringing and the hardships he has gone through, Baba Talisha issued a stark warning to any future perpetrator. He vowed that if a man were to harm his daughter when she is grown, that man would face fatal consequences.

He stressed that this promise holds true even if he is over 50 years old at the time of the incident.

“If you do that to my daughter, even if I would be 50 years old, wewe mwendo utakuwa umeumaliza [Your journey will be finished on earth],” he stated bluntly.

He added that his perspective is partly influenced by being a man from Western Kenya. He noted that his own father always reassured his sisters that if married life became too challenging, they could always return home.

Supporting Sonko's Public Intervention

Baba Talisha also used the interview to comment on Mike Sonko’s response to the incident involving his own daughter. Sonko had publicly intervened, including mentioning that he paid the alleged perpetrator’s rent.

Baba Talisha defended Sonko’s public handling of the situation. He argued that Sonko's action of posting the details was acceptable because the man was reportedly not providing.

He praised Sonko for being a responsible dad. He noted that Sonko frequently uses his public profile to create awareness and assist people.

Baba Talisha explained that Sonko's intervention was important. It served to create awareness that GBV affects all families, even those with financial resources.

He concluded that Sonko had done "the right thing" by addressing the situation when his child was at "bottom rock". The public reaction served as a crucial deterrent.
