Gospel singer Betty Bayo was laid to rest at her farm in Mugumoini, Kiambu County, in a deeply solemn ceremony on Thursday, 20 November.
The private graveside service followed a day of massive public mourning at Ndumberi Stadium.
The final rites saw the singer, whose death on 10 November 2025 followed a battle with leukemia, interred at approximately 5:20 pm.

The casket, a dignified dark green, was gently lowered into the ground in a powerful and quiet moment of farewell.
Ministers Lead the Final Farewell
The graveside was surrounded by gospel ministers and spiritual leaders who offered the final prayers and spiritual guidance.

This small gathering stood in stark contrast to the thousands who had attended the stadium service earlier in the day.
The focus remained heavily on faith and the hope Betty Bayo preached through her music.
