Tanzania's prominent young tycoon, Chief Godlove, made headlines during a recent visit to Nairobi, Kenya, where he confessed a profound and unusual passion for reptiles.

The wealthy businessman, known for owning high-end Mercedes cars, toured the Nairobi Snake Park accompanied by content creator 2Mbili, revealing his deep attraction to the cold-blooded creatures.

He told reporters accompanying him that he had been missing his animals so much he considered returning to Tanzania just to see his snakes.

A Dangerous Fascination

Chief Godlove stated plainly that his fascination with snakes runs deeper than any conventional relationship. He believes his affinity for the animals is linked to his success.

“A snake is what brings me money,” he declared.

The tycoon, who identifies as a "big twin," insists that snakes cannot bite him. He also expressed a controversial preference regarding companionship.

“I should keep a snake thanto keep a human,” he noted.

When questioned, he elaborated that humans are often malicious, while a snake’s bite is merely a form of self-defence. A snake strikes because it feels threatened or perceives a person as an enemy.

Seeking a New Companion

During his visit to the Kenyan park, Chief Godlove demonstrated his ease around the reptiles.

He handled a snake gently, remarking that one must treat a snake with care. He expressed admiration for a specific white snake he spotted.

He also confirmed his intense dedication to the animals.

“I love snakes more than anything,” Chief Godlove confessed.

He attempted to acquire one of the snakes at the park, asking if they were for sale. He was informed, however, that the animals belong to the Kenyan government.

Chief Godlove inquired extensively about obtaining a legal licence to keep snakes in Kenya. He learned from the conversation that the Kenya Wildlife Service provides permits for keeping snakes, including venomous types.

This required him to have the necessary infrastructure and approvals. He now plans to pursue a licence.

The Residents of Nairobi Snake Park

The visit provided insight into the care and feeding of the park's inhabitants. Chief Godlove encountered several species, including a large Python (chatu). He inquired about the diet of the biggest snakes.

One of the larger snakes consumes seven kilograms of food once a week. Park staff explained that overfeeding can cause food to rot. They stated that they limit the feeding schedule to maintain the animals' health.

The tycoon also observed a non-venomous snake species that feeds exclusively on eggs. He was shown a very old snake that has resided at the park since 1967.

Chief Godlove concluded his visit by holding a small, tame snake. He noted that his “pure heart” allows him to calm the creatures. He prefers the company of snakes, noting that they are clean and healthy animals.

Chief Godlove stated that he regularly visits snake parks in his home country to interact and speak with the reptiles.

He appears set on growing his collection upon his return to Tanzania or acquiring a legal licence in Kenya.
