Kenyan public figure Rev. Lucy Natasha has shared her insights on love, relationships, and marriage in a recent appearance on the Lessons at 30 podcast with Ofweneke.
Drawing from her personal experience, Natasha offered advice for single women, highlighted her approach to marital dynamics, and shared lessons from her own relationship with her husband.
Advice to Single Women: Avoid Time Wasters
Natasha spoke candidly about the importance of clarity and purpose in romantic relationships. She warned single women against men who are unclear about their intentions.
“Any single lady watching today, may God deliver you from time wasters—people who are just around, not sharing their intentions, and don’t want anyone else to access you,” she said.

She believes a man should take no more than six months to decide whether a relationship is heading toward marriage. Beyond this period, she considers it time wasting.
“A man should already know whether it’s going somewhere or not,” she explained.
Natasha is clear in her stance against living together before marriage. She emphasised that playing the role of a spouse while still single can be exhausting and misleading.
“I always tell people not to play the role of marriage to single people; you will be tired of marriage,” she noted. She added that a relationship that does not bring peace is not aligned with God’s purpose. Reflecting on her own marriage, she shared: “One of the things I prayed for when I met my hubby was peace—and I got it.”
Love Languages and Household Duties
The pastor also spoke about household responsibilities and love languages within marriage. She stressed that times have changed and modern couples can rely on technology and staff to manage chores.
“Everybody has their love language. Times and seasons have changed; some things that we used to do, like washing clothes, now we have washing machines and dishwashers,” she said.

Natasha added that she cooks for her husband and is learning new cuisines, such as Indian dishes. While they employ a house manager and chef, she emphasised the importance of occasional personal effort to express love.

“At least sometimes it is very important to go the extra mile for your husband. But it has to align with his love language because there are people whose love language is acts of service; lazima ujitume mami,” she said.
Her Relationship With Her Husband
Rev. Lucy Natasha is married to Prophet Stanley Carmel, a Canadian-based preacher. Their relationship is both a personal and ministry partnership, and they share public ministry activities.
The couple first connected via Instagram direct messages, and after nearly two years of pursuit, they became engaged on 27 November 2021.
They married officially on 29 January 2022 in a traditional wedding held in Runda Estate, Nairobi.
The couple maintains a long-distance marriage, with Natasha based in Kenya and her husband in Canada. Despite the distance, they travel frequently for ministry engagements and remain committed to supporting each other spiritually and emotionally.
The couple does not have children yet, though Natasha has expressed a desire for children in God’s timing.
Natasha has also spoken about the lavish gifts they exchange, including plots of land in Diani and Nanyuki, as expressions of love and partnership.

Rev. Lucy Natasha’s reflections offer a blueprint for single women and married couples alike, blending practical advice with spiritual guidance.
Her stance on avoiding time-wasting relationships, rejecting cohabitation before marriage, and prioritizing peace and love languages demonstrates a modern yet faith-centered approach to partnership.
