Kenyan actress and digital creator Dorea Chege has dismissed online rumours alleging that she physically assaulted her partner, DJ Dibul.

The speculation intensified after a video of DJ Dibul performing in Naivasha  while wearing a face mask went viral, prompting social media users to claim he was hiding injuries.

The rumours took shape on Instagram after Dorea posted herself with a caption ,''I’m looking for a taekwondo trainer? Any recommendations? ''

The post captured alot of attention where fans linked the caption with the ongoing speculations.

@khami003 commented ,''Ndo upige dibul??.'' In a direct response, Dorea questioned the narrative, saying: “Anapigwa kwani amefungwa mikono?”

Her response suggested clear frustration with the narrative circulating online. In another instance, when a fan urged, “Dorea ambia Dibul aweke profile ya purple.”

Dorea shot back, “Haujui profile yake?” — further reflecting her irritation at what she views as baseless assumptions.

The actress’ public replies mark her first direct attempt to shut down the claims, which have continued to spread across TikTok, Instagram and X.

DJ Dibul Responds: “Siku hizi unaingia online unapata unatrend na hujui”

DJ Dibul also addressed the situation separately after noticing his name trending across social platforms.

He expressed confusion about the allegations and why they had surfaced in the first place. In an Instagram post, he posted himself with a caption;

''Siku hizi unaingia online unapata unatrend na hujui .Weh! Umewahijipata ukitrend na uko clueless??''

According to him, the rumours began circulating while he was still unaware of any claims being made.

The speculation intensified after a viral clip showed him performing with a face mask on, with some fans suggesting the mask was meant to conceal alleged injuries attributed to Dorea.

No evidence has been presented to support the claims, and both Dorea and Dibul have now publicly rejected the narrative.
