Kenyan digital entrepreneur Thee Pluto has spoken candidly about the realities of forex trading during an interview on the Obinna Show, offering clarity on an industry often surrounded by misinformation.

The discussion centred on public assumptions, the legitimacy of forex as a global financial market, and the experiences of young Kenyan traders shaping the sector.

Forex Trading Clarified

Pluto stated that; ''forex trading itself is not the problem,'' but the behaviour of individuals misusing the term for dishonest gain.

According to me, the foreign exchange market is legitimate and operates globally, with its challenges stemming from misrepresentation rather than the practice. In his words, “shida si forex, shida ni mtu." ''The forex is very legit even now if you google the most liquid market is forex.''

''Forex trading is based on fluctuating market patterns that move up and down depending on economic forces, noting that the graph is never a straight line a reality I believe aspire traders must understand before investing their money," Pluto stated.

Pluto’s Journey Into Forex Trading

Pluto’s involvement in forex trading began several years ago as he explored ways to diversify his investment portfolio.

His interest grew from observing global market movements and seeking opportunities beyond content creation and entrepreneurship. He later underwent training and mentorship to gain the foundational knowledge required to trade independently.

In earlier interviews, he has described encountering both gains and losses in his initial stages. He spent time studying market trends, managing risks, and learning how international events affect currency values.

Over time, he developed strategies that helped him move from beginner-level trading to more structured participation in the market. His engagement with the forex community has since made him one of the most recognisable youthful traders in Kenya.
