Eddie Butita, whose birth name is Edwin Butita, has established himself as a prominent figure in the Kenyan entertainment industry since starting his professional career in 2010.

He initially gained fame as a stand-up comedian on the popular 'Churchill Show', where he also served as a writer and creative. His work often involves witty and intelligent humour.

Butita is also the CEO of his own company, Stage Presence Media. In 2021, he achieved a major milestone by working as the lead writer and director for the Swahili version of the hit Netflix show 'The Upshaws'.

The comedian was awarded the Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW) in December 2023.
