Butita, who celebrated his birthday on 16 November, posted the list which consisted entirely of socks and boxer shorts.

The detailed inventory covered a variety of colours for each item, including:

• Socks: Blue, Red, Black, Green, White, Grey, and Purple.
• Boxer Shorts: Blue, Red, Black, Yellow, Magenta, and Indigo.

He accompanied the post with a message of gratitude and an aspiration for his new year:

"FLIGHT EDDIE 33 take off, God bless me with good health, grace, more brains and wisdom."

Eddie Butita, whose birth name is Edwin Butita, has established himself as a prominent figure in the Kenyan entertainment industry since starting his professional career in 2010.

He initially gained fame as a stand-up comedian on the popular 'Churchill Show', where he also served as a writer and creative. His work often involves witty and intelligent humour.

Butita is also the CEO of his own company, Stage Presence Media. In 2021, he achieved a major milestone by working as the lead writer and director for the Swahili version of the hit Netflix show 'The Upshaws'.

The comedian was awarded the Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW) in December 2023.
