The Chief Officer for Environment in Nairobi County, Geoffrey Mosiria, has revealed how he successfully secured employment for Isaac Otesa, the social media figure famously known as Goliath wa Bungoma.
Otesa, who gained notoriety for his striking resemblance to fellow giant, Bradley Marongo (alias Gen Z Goliath), was recently destitution in the capital before Mosiria coming through for him.
Mosiria revealed this while visiting him at one of his work stations.

A City of Dreams and Stranded Hope
Otesa’s initial journey to Nairobi began earlier this year. He travelled to the capital in a widely publicised bid for opportunities, mirroring the rise of Bradley Marongo.
Many observers initially accused him of trying to ride on Marongo’s fame.
Despite landing media interviews, Otesa struggled to convert the fleeting attention into a sustainable income.
After appearing on a popular show, he was left stranded in the Central Business District (CBD) with no money for fare. His situation was critical.

Otesa called Mr Mosiria for help, requesting money for a ticket back to his village in Bungoma. The county chief officer refused to enable the return to poverty.
“I first met him earlier this year after Obinna’s show. He was stranded in the CBD with no money and called me asking if I could help him return to the village,” Mosiria narrated.

The Compassionate Intervention
Mr Mosiria met Otesa and listened to his plea. He concluded that giving up was not the answer for the internet sensation. Instead, he chose to invest in Otesa’s future by securing employment in Nairobi.
The first step was securing two initial positions. Otesa was given a job in the advertising sector. Simultaneously, he secured a secondary role working in security.
The second job saw him employed as a club bouncer at a Kilimani establishment. This gave Otesa immediate stability and income while he rebuilt his life.
From Bouncer to Marketing Officer
Mr Mosiria continued to mentor Otesa. He used his professional network to find a long-term career path for the towering personality.
Through the support of friends at the company Car Soko, Otesa landed a permanent position. He successfully transitioned from club security into a white-collar role as a Marketing Officer.

“I helped him secure two jobs. One in advertising and another as a club bouncer at Kilimani Club Ibiza. Later on, through the support of my friends from Car Soko, he got a job as a Marketing Officer,” Mosiria said.

Mr Mosiria confirmed that Otesa is now working, stable, and full of hope. His life is currently taking shape in the capital city. The county official concluded that Otesa's success is a reminder that every person deserves a chance.
"No one is useless. No one is beyond restoration. All a person needs is a chance and someone to stand with them."
