A Glimpse into Nairobi’s High Life

Chief Godlove’s expensive lifestyle was evident during the visit. He stated he chose the GTC apartment in Nairobi because he needed high-level privacy, preferring it over a five-bedroom house owned by his friend.

The self-proclaimed billionaire discussed the significant costs associated with his current stay in Kenya. He calculated that his expenses in Nairobi over just two weeks totalled approximately KES 10 million (Kenyan Shillings).

Furthermore, he revealed that the production of his artist Pipi Jojo’s video, Chakacha, cost almost KES 20 million. He asserted that he is a billionaire in US Dollars, Tanzanian Shillings, and Kenyan Shillings.

Why November and December Matter

Chief Godlove uses his resources primarily through philanthropy. He explained the crucial significance of the final two months of the year for his charitable activities.

He stated that November and December are his months for Thanksgiving.

This period is designated for giving back what he has earned since January.

The Untraditional Tithe

The businessman further revealed that during these months, he gives his 10 per cent tithe, referred to as fungu la 10. However, Chief Godlove made a highly unusual disclosure about where this tithe is directed.

He explicitly stated that he does not take his 10 per cent tithe to church or mosque.

When explaining this decision, he claimed that many pastors are simply "wakora" (crooked or corrupt).

Instead of giving to religious institutions, he provides direct aid to people in need. Chief Godlove stressed that he does not discriminate based on nationality or background when offering assistance.

“Mimi fungu la 10 langu huwa sitoi kwa kanisani kwa sababu pia mapasta wengi ni wakora tu. Kwa hiyo mimi sitoi kanisani wala msikitini pesa zangu mimi natoa kwa watu wenye uhitaji”.

He noted that if he realises someone is facing a problem, he helps them, regardless of whether they are Kenyan, Ugandan, Tanzanian, or Malawian.

Through the Chief God Love Foundation, he seeks to support those who have been displaced or are facing sickness.

He argues that when people remove differences related to country, tribe, religion, or even family lineage, they are simply one family.
