Kenyan musician and businesswoman Akothee has revealed a specific final wish regarding her burial. In a long, heartfelt post on her Facebook page, she asked to be interred within 48 hours of her death.

The celebrity explained that she does not want her family to face unnecessary struggles after her passing. She emphasised that "death is for the living".

A Call for Speed and Simplicity

Akothee was direct about her request for a speedy burial. She stipulated that if she dies abroad, her family should not attempt to bring her body back to Kenya.

"Please bury me in 48 hours," she wrote. "If it finds me Abroad, don’t struggle to bring my body back".

The artist stated that her children do not have the energy to manage the number of guests typically associated with a celebrity's funeral. This sentiment suggests a preference for privacy and simplicity during a time of grief.

The Importance of Showing Love Now

The message also served as a reminder to her followers to express genuine affection while she is still alive. Akothee stressed that love should be shown through interaction and support in the present.

She argued that there is no genuine love shown to a deceased person if it was never displayed during their lifetime. This part of her post highlighted a belief that life, and love, are for the present.

Battling Health Issues

Akothee’s candid final wishes came as part of a post reflecting on her recent health struggles. She stated that life had slowed her down.

The musician disclosed that she had been diagnosed with severe migraines, blood clot, and uterine fibroids.

She explained that doctors were unable to pinpoint the exact location of the blood clot. Furthermore, medication given to thin her blood led to an adverse reaction, causing her to lose consciousness for around three hours. Doctors reportedly described the incident as a case of "over-sedation".

Finding Peace and Healing

The reality of these conditions has forced Akothee to re-evaluate her life. She noted that she is learning that true strength means stopping, breathing, and healing.

"I can no longer shout, argue, or absorb unnecessary pressure," she shared. "My peace is now my prescription. My calm is my survival".

The star confirmed she is in a "healing era". She said she is learning to honour her body and listen to its whispers instead of waiting for it to scream.

She is now choosing protection and cutting off anything that threatens her peace.

Akothee's post concluded by addressing "keyboard warriors". She told them they can mention her conditions or remind her it is a journey to menopause. Ultimately, she is focused on living authentically and at peace.
