Comedian-turned-activist Eric Omondi has initiated a public search for his striking lookalike, a man from Githurai, Nairobi.

The search began after a video of the man went viral on social media, showcasing their uncanny physical resemblance and similar mannerisms.

A Call for a New Ally

Omondi's primary reason for seeking the man is tied to his ongoing social and political activism. The comedian, known for his "Sisi Kwa Sisi" movement and protests against the high cost of living and unemployment, wants to double his presence.

"Haki mnisaidie kupata Huyu at least tukue wawili nikifanya Sisi Kwa Sisi yeye aende Maandamano." (Please help me find this person so that at least we can be two, I do Sisi Kwa Sisi and he goes for Demonstrations)

Omondi's message suggests a division of labour, with one focusing on his philanthropic and community upliftment projects (Sisi Kwa Sisi) and the other on the more confrontational role of leading street protests (Maandamano).

The Activist's Background

Omondi's career has shifted significantly from purely comedy, which began with the 'Churchill Show' in 2008.

In recent years, he has increasingly used his platform to advocate for various causes. He has often been arrested while protesting against national issues like the cost of living and the Finance Bill.

Baby Mama's Humorous Reaction

The public appeal quickly drew a comment from Lynne Njihia, Omondi's baby mama. She responded to the post with a light-hearted, teasing remark that brought an element of personal humour to the viral story.

Lynne Njihia playfully suggested that the sheer number of lookalikes appearing could confuse their daughter.

Lynne Njihia joked about the mix-up, commenting, "Sasa mnaconfuse Kyla" (Now you're confusing Kyla).

This humorous exchange, visible on Omondi’s social media post, was liked by over 850 people. It highlighted the public interest in Omondi's family and his social media stunts.
