Kenya is making a triumphant comeback to the Miss International Beauty Pageant 2025, marking the nation’s first participation in four years.

Leading this historic return is Fridah Muthoni Kariuki, officially crowned as Miss International Kenya 2025 under The Young People’s Network International (TYPNI) — a move that reaffirms Kenya’s growing influence in global beauty, culture, and youth empowerment spaces.

The 63rd Miss International Beauty Pageant will take place in Tokyo, Japan, later this year, bringing together over 80 delegates from across the world in a celebration of beauty with purpose, international goodwill, and cultural exchange.

Kenya’s re-entry into the prestigious competition signals a renewed commitment to championing young women as leaders, changemakers, and climate ambassadors.

Charlene Ruto: “It Was My Honor to Crown Her”

Ms. Charlene Ruto, CEO of The Young People’s Network International (TYPNI), who expressed immense pride in Muthoni’s achievement and Kenya’s return to the Miss International stage, led the crowning ceremony.

“It was my distinct honor to crown Fridah Muthoni Kariuki as Miss International Kenya! For the first time in 4 years, Kenya will be represented at the 63rd Miss International Beauty Pageant in Tokyo, Japan — one of the top beauty pageants globally, alongside Miss World and Miss Universe,” she said.

Charlene described Muthoni, fondly known as Noni, as “the epitome of the Proverbs 31 woman and Kenyan young person.”

“She did not wait for the opportunity to come to her, but she chased it till she got it! Representing The Young People’s Network International, who are the official licensees, we are excited to walk this journey with her till and after she brings the crown home. And for her to bring it home, we as Kenyans will need to endorse, encourage and yes—vote for her!”

Beauty with Purpose: Muthoni’s Global Mission

The Miss International pageant, recognized as part of the global “Big Four” alongside Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss Earth, extends beyond traditional beauty standards.

It champions the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the Beauties for SDGs initiative—encouraging contestants to drive positive change in their communities.

As Miss International Kenya 2025, Muthoni will spend a month in Japan taking part in government courtesy visits, community outreach programs, and cultural exchange activities, all culminating in the grand finale on November 27, 2025.

Muthoni Kariuki: Leading with Grace and Purpose

Following her crowning, Muthoni shared a heartfelt message that captured the essence of her mission and spirit:

“I hope this moment will be a testament to every African girl who dreams, no matter how distant, can become reality. It does not matter who you are or where you come from; if you put God first and believe in yourself, you are unstoppable! Beauty is not confined to crowns or gowns, but found in the courage to dream, to rise, and to represent where we come from. We are deserving of every space we step into, and this one will be for Kenya.”

Her statement reflects the deep sense of purpose she carries—not only as a beauty queen but as a leader, climate champion, and youth advocate.
