Kenyan socialite and businesswoman Vera Sidika has revealed a surprising tech secret. Despite her significant wealth, the celebrity confirmed she still uses a 4-year-old smartphone model. She is not using the latest device on the market.
Sidika made the revelation in a direct message exchange with a fan on Instagram.

Loyalty to an ‘Older’ Model
The exchange started when a fan noticed the high quality of her content. The fan questioned if she was still using the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
The fan wrote: "Are you sure you still use iPhone 13 pro maxyour videos and photos top notch".
The socialite confirmed her continued use of the device. She stated she is not "crazy over phones".
Her reason for sticking with the older iPhone is simple. She believes it performs better than newer models.
“I still use iPhone 13 Pro Max I never go crazy over phones y'all. Funny thing; my old phone takes the best pics/videos.”
Sidika further revealed that her friends who own newer devices are often shocked.
“iPhone 16 pals are always shocked my pics look better than theirs.”

The iPhone 13 Legacy
The iPhone 13 series was first announced on 14 September 2021. It was officially released to the market just ten days later, on 24 September 2021.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max was a flagship model at the time. Its launch price started at approximately $1,099 in the US.

The base model of the iPhone 17 starts at a price of $799 in the US. It features Apple's new A19 chip. It also introduced a larger 6.3-inch display. The iPhone 17 models begin with 256GB of storage. The launch saw the removal of the 128GB option.
Despite these technological advancements, the Kenyan star believes her older phone still meets her content creation needs.
Her decision highlights a debate among consumers. They often wonder if the annual upgrades are truly necessary. Sidika suggests that the iPhone 13 Pro Max still provides high-end quality.
