The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) and Kenyatta University (KU) have announced new job vacancies.

They have invited qualified persons to apply before the October 22, 2025, deadline.

In a public notice, the JSC said it is seeking to fill positions in its Petition Committee, which handles disciplinary matters within the Judiciary. 

The Commission has advertised for the positions of Chairperson (one post) and member (four posts).

The Commission stated that applications must be submitted through its official jobs portal at [www.jsc.go.ke/jobs-2](https://www.jsc.go.ke/jobs-2).

Interested candidates are encouraged to review detailed job descriptions, qualifications and appointment requirements listed on the website.

 “All applications should reach the Commission not later than October 22, 2025, at 5 pm,” JSC said, adding that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

The Commission emphasised that its recruitment services are free of charge and that canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.

The JSC, established under Article 171 of the Constitution, promotes the independence and accountability of the Judiciary.

Meanwhile, Kenyatta University has invited applications for several positions under its Transport Section, including Bus Driver (Grade III/IV) and Shovel/Tractor Operator (Grade III/IV).

According to the university’s announcement, successful candidates will enjoy a comprehensive employment package that includes a medical scheme, house allowance, and commuting allowance.

Applicants are required to submit detailed information on educational and professional qualifications, work experience, current employment and contact details, including email and telephone numbers. 

Certified copies of certificates and testimonials must be enclosed, along with the names of three referees who can attest to the applicant’s competence.

Applications should be addressed to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration and Finance), Kenyatta University, PO Box 43844–00100, Nairobi, and received by October 22, 2025.

Canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

In other job advertisements, Meru University of Science and Technology(MUST) has announced two administrative vacancies.

These include those  of Legal Officer 1 and Registrar, Research, Innovation, Commercialisation and Extension (RICE).

Interested persons are urged to make applications through the university portal by October 28, 2025.

Meanwhile, the Kisii County Public Service Board has announced 498 vacancies in two different departments.

These are the Department of Medical Services, Public Health and Sanitation, and the Department of Education, Technical Training, Innovation and Social Sciences.
