Nyeri county floats 149 jobs including teaching, nursing

The County Government of Nyeri has announced 149 vacancies across multiple departments, ranging from early childhood education and youth training to specialised medical services and urban planning.

The positions, advertised by the County Public Service Board, are open to qualified candidates and will be filled on three-year term contracts and remunerated as per the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.

In the Department of Education, Training and Development, 19 slots are available for Assistant ECDE Teacher III under Job Group ‘F’.

Additionally, there are three positions for Youth Polytechnic Instructor III, one each for hair dressing and beauty therapy, Plumbing Technology and Food and Beverage/Hospitality Institutional Management, all under Job Group ‘H’.

The Department of Gender, Youth, Sports and Social Services is seeking a Director of Youth Affairs and Sports, a single vacancy graded under Job Group ‘R’.

In the Department of Lands, Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Development, one position is open for Director Valuation and Housing (Job Group ‘R’).

The bulk of the vacancies fall under the Department of Health Services, which is recruiting for 116 positions.

There are 7 slots for Medical Laboratory Technologist III, two posts for Medical Engineering Technologist Job Group 'H'-, five posts for Assistant Health Records and Information Management Officer III and two positions for Assistant Physiotherapist III, all under Job Group H.

Other positions under Job Group H are 10 slots for Registered Clinical Officer III, 4 slots for Assistant Public Health Officer II, 43 posts for Registered Nurse III, 2 posts for Community Oral Health Officers and 3 Community Health Assistant II posts.

Other positions are Medical Engineer, Job Group 'K' - (2 Posts), Public Health Officer, Job Group 'K' - (4) Posts, Registered Nurse III (Peri-Operative), Job Group 'K' - (2) Post, Registered Nurse III (Renal), Job Group 'K' - (2) Posts and Supply Chain Management Assistant III, Job Group 'K' - (3) Posts.

Also open for hire are 8 posts for Charge Hand Job Group 'E', 10 slots for Support Staff/Cleaning Supervisor Job Group 'D', 4 Medical Officer, Job Group 'M', one post for Senior Assistant Director, of Medical Services/Radiologist Job Group 'Q', one post for Senior Assistant Director, of Medical Services/Ophthalmologist Job Group 'Q' and one slot for Senior Assistant Director, of Medical Services/Orthopedic Surgeon Job Group 'Q'. 

The Office of the County Secretary/Head of County Public Service is also hiring nine Driver III positions under Job Group ‘C’.
