Celebrity couple Diana Marua and Bahati are usually all about the glam. From chart-topping music to their dramatic reality TV show, they look like the perfect pair.

But in a recent interview with Commentator 254, Kenya’s favourite lovebirds got incredibly honest. They peeled back the showbiz gloss to talk about the messy reality of being married.

It's Not a Fairytale

Diana admitted that their marriage is not always a blissful ride. “It’s not 100% a bed of roses,” she confessed.

In fact, disagreements can get so intense that Diana sometimes retreats. She revealed that on bad days, she grabs her blanket and sleeps in a separate room. Yes, even Mrs. Bahati occasionally needs a night solo!

Learning to Grow Together

However, these bumps in the road are actually what keeps them grounded.

Diana stressed that their marriage is about constant evolution. The man she married five years ago is not the person she's with today.

"We continuously grow, learn, and unlearn together,” she said. This highlights the vital need for partners to adapt as a team.

The Non-Negotiable House Rule

To keep their bond intact, the couple lives by a simple, non-negotiable rule: always come home.

Bahati joked that no fight is ever big enough to justify sleeping out. Diana says this principle is what stops them from dragging out issues for too long.

For them, marriage is all about teamwork.

Key values that keep them together:

Respect, Forgiveness, Honest communication.

These values also guide their relationship when co-parenting with Bahati’s baby mama, Yvette Obura.

Bigger Moves on the Horizon

While they were open about their struggles, the couple also teased some big career news.

Bahati revealed they were approached to feature in Young, Famous & African Season 2 but had to turn it down due to his political campaign at the time.

Still, he promised fans should prepare for something "even bigger" coming soon.

At the end of the day, the Bahatis insist their marriage is a unique blend of love, learning, and plenty of laughter. It may not be perfect, but they are making it work—one blanket shift at a time.
