Diana Marua has opened up about her civil and cooperative relationship with Yvette Obura, the mother of her husband Bahati's first child.
Socialite and reality TV star Diana Marua has spoken candidly about her relationship with Bahati’s baby mama, Yvette Obura. She describes their dynamic as one built on respect, forgiveness, and intentional communication.
Speaking on Thursday, 25th September 2025, in a recent interview on youtube ,Diana explained that both women chose to put peace and healthy co-parenting first, leaving past conflicts behind.
“The foundation of the good relationship between me and Mama Mueni is respect. Mama Mueni respects me and my marriage, and I respect her in return,” Diana stated.

Prioritising Clear Communication
Diana explained that open and transparent communication is key to avoiding misunderstandings.
She revealed that Yvette often approaches her first whenever issues concerning her daughter, Mueni, arise.
If Mueni needs to visit or discuss something, Yvette generally contacts Diana first.

This arrangement ensures a smoother co-parenting process for everyone.
Diana acknowledged that sometimes she directs Yvette to speak directly with Bahati.
"We have good communication, and everything is based on respect," she noted.
Moving Past the Past
The content creator stressed that ending a relationship is difficult, but focusing on the future requires letting go.
“Ending a relationship is never easy, but life happens, and we choose to forgive whatever has happened,” she added.
Diana emphasised that their shared goal is to raise Mueni in a loving, supportive, and drama-free environment. Forgiveness and mutual understanding were essential for moving past any previous complications.

"It is about respect, forgiveness, and focusing on raising the child well,” she stressed.
No Lingering Tension
Diana firmly dismissed any suggestions of ongoing drama or tension between them. She affirmed that her relationship with Yvette remains civil and cooperative.
"Whoever we bring into this world, Mueni or anyone else, we must nurture the child so that they grow up well," Diana concluded. "Having said that, there are no more complications.”
