Celebrated Kenyan musician and entrepreneur Akothee has dismissed fake news circulating on TikTok that claimed she had been involved in an accident.
The false reports suggested that the accident occurred while she was en route to the Maasai Mara National Park.
Akothee, however, is currently on an executive vacation in the United Kingdom.

The Artist's Reaction
Akothee took to her Facebook to respond to the false reports. She shared screenshots of the TikTok, alleging that she was involved in an accident, and clarified that it was not true, as she was not in Kenya but in the UK.
“Wait hata mimi nangoja menopause kwanza, usiniharakishe na kifo. Yaani, if Kenyans were selling Oxygen, I swear they won't serve me
I am still in the UK hakuna Maasai Mara huku,” she captioned the TikTok screenshot.

She expressed her frustration with the spread of such dangerous misinformation. The artist issued a stern warning to those creating and sharing the fake news.

She also cautioned her friends against forwarding such content without confirming it first.
“And to my acquaintances with my Contacts, don't send me things you get on social media if not from my page or my family pages. Utakula Block,” she cautioned.
She reminded everyone that she is the only person who can communicate her health status to the public.

A Weekend in the VIP Section
While the fake news was spreading online, Akothee was enjoying an exclusive weekend in the UK. She was a VVIP guest at Old Trafford, where she watched the highly anticipated Premier League match between Manchester United and Chelsea.
Manchester United emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over Chelsea in a dramatic game. The match saw both teams reduced to 10 men, with Chelsea's goalkeeper Robert Sanchez getting a red card early in the game.
This was followed by a red card for Manchester United's Casemiro.
