Kenyan influencer and content creator Njambi Fever has once again ignited a storm online after publicly rejecting an awards nomination in a fiery Instagram rant.
In what appeared to be a reference to the Pulse Influencer Awards, the outspoken digital star demanded that her name be removed from the nominees’ list, stressing she has no interest in such recognition.
A Fiery Instagram Rant
In her Instagram Story, Njambi minced no words. Switching between English and Swahili, she declared:
“Niliwaambia sitaki hizo nomination zenu za upuzi,” she wrote.
Njambi even issued a warning to the organisers, suggesting she may have already rejected the nomination privately and only went public as a last resort.
Her repeated use of the word “upuzi” (nonsense) made it clear she was not only dismissing the category she was placed in, but also expressing disdain for the awards system as a whole.

She continued with an even sharper rebuke: “Mtoe jina yangu kwa hizo upuzi.”
A History of Defiance
This isn’t the first time Njambi’s name has come up in connection with the awards. Records show she was nominated for Instagram Influencer of the Year at the 2024 edition. Her latest comments, however, make it evident she does not value such recognition.
A Warning to Pulse
Njambi went a step further, directly addressing the organisers, saying:
“Pulse tuheshimiane by the way.”
This suggests she may have already communicated her disinterest in private, and her public outburst was a last resort to have her wishes respected.
Her statement also aligns with past records: Njambi Fever was indeed nominated for InstagramInfluencer of the Year at the Pulse Influencer Awards 2024. However, judging from her latest rant, she clearly does not value such recognition.

Njambi’s rant went viral almost instantly, dividing opinion among fans and fellow influencers.
Supporters hailed her honesty, praising her for rejecting validation she never sought. For them, her refusal underscored her authenticity.
