“I have a question. If you guys truly to the core believed marriage is of essence, why are you offended that a stranger thinks that marriage is foolish?” she asked.

She went on to argue that security in one’s values should not be shaken by outside views. “In my 29 years, I have never seen a secure person stretched. They are always grounded,” she added, suggesting that those who lashed out were revealing their own insecurities.

Ronoh then pointedly asked: “All of you triggered, so who really has the power?” Her statement flipped the conversation back on her critics, raising questions about why opposing views on personal life choices provoke such intense reactions online.
