How Zari is the Reason Willy Paul Won't Engage Shakib in a Boxing Match

Kenyan music artist Willy Paul has publicly responded to Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan's husband, Shakib Cham Lutaaya, who reportedly challenged Kenyan artists to a boxing match.

In a surprising turn, Willy Paul has stated his reluctance to enter the ring with Shakib, primarily due to his admiration for Shakib's wife, Zari Hassan.

A Fan's Dilemma

Willy Paul, known for his dynamic stage presence, revealed that he holds Shakib in high regard.

"I'm a huge fan of yours, my brother," he expressed, making his personal appreciation for Shakib clear.

However, this respect seems to be overshadowed by another significant factor: Shakib's wife.

The Kenyan artist made it explicit that his decision not to pursue a boxing match stems from Zari Hassan's alleged admiration for him.

"I don't advocate for that because your wife is a huge fan of mine," Willy Paul stated, directly linking his refusal to Zari's perceived fandom.

The "Other Guy" Exception

While extending an olive branch to Shakib and expressing his regard for Zari, Willy Paul did single out one individual in Shakib's circle whom he does not favour.

"The only person that I don't like in your family is the other guy. The other guy that calls himself Lion (Diamond Platnumz0," he declared, referring to his beef with Tanzanian megastar.

This specific exception highlights that his general goodwill does not extend to everyone associated with Shakib.

A Man of Confidence

Despite his diplomatic stance regarding Shakib, Willy Paul did not shy away from asserting his own capabilities. He described himself as "a bad man" and recounted a past metaphorical victory, stating, "Remember I killed a lion? I turned a lion into a rat.”

This boastful remark suggests that his decision to decline the boxing challenge is not due to a lack of confidence in his fighting ability, but rather a deliberate choice based on other considerations.

Recent Boxing Setback for Shakib

This challenge from Shakib to Kenyan artists comes shortly after he himself faced a significant setback in the boxing ring.

Shakib Cham Lutaaya was knocked out during a boxing match just a few days ago, an event that garnered considerable attention.
