The company, which owns a conglomerate of media outfits including K24 TV, People Daily, and several radio stations, has been undergoing a series of restructuring exercises to remain viable.

This marks the sixth round of layoffs at the media house in four years. The company has previously cited a difficult business environment, including a reduction in business volumes and digital disruption, as reasons for the redundancies.
