Guardian Angel: Why I Fell Out With Artist Sammy G

Recent revelations by gospel artist Guardian Angel have shed light on a significant rift between himself and fellow musician Sammy G, following their collaboration under Guardian Angel's 7 Heaven Music recording label.

Amidst this candid disclosure, there are strong calls for reconciliation, with Sammy G's close friend, Presenter Kai, advocating for the two artists to meet and resolve their differences.

The Roots of the Fallout

The problem between Guardian Angel and Sammy G, as narrated by Guardian Angel during a podcast by Alex Mwakideu, began with an alleged incident involving a scheduled performance and a significant breach of trust concerning travel arrangements.

Guardian Angel had a show in Nairobi and wanted Sammy G to join him. Sammy G requested travel fare that morning to come to Nairobi for the show.

However, by 5 PM, Sammy G had not arrived in Nairobi, despite his location being only two hours away.

“The reason why we fell out with each other is because I was called to a show, and I wanted us to go with the artist. The artist has called asking for fare in the morning, which I sent to him to come to Nairobi, but by 5 pm, he had not arrived in Nairobi despite his location being 2 hours ago,” Guardian Angel claimed.

Breach of Trust

When Guardian Angel enquired, the artist offered to send his location pin, contradicting his earlier request for matatu fare.

According to Guardian Angel, it emerged that the artist had found a friend to give him a ride from Nakuru, yet he had still requested the fare. Guardian viewed this as a significant breach of trust and a lack of discipline.

He firmly told the artist to return home, stating, "Sasa rudi mahali umetoka... mi sitaki kuanza kulea ukora ukora. So lazima ukuwe straight forward".

Calls for Resolution

Following Guardian Angel's candid account, a strong sentiment has emerged within the gospel music fraternity for reconciliation between the two artists.

It is understood that Sammy G’s best friend, Presenter Kai, is notably advocating for a meeting between Guardian Angel and Sammy G to iron out their differences and achieve peace.

This desire for resolution stems from the belief that a face-to-face meeting could help mend the fractured relationship, allowing both artists to find common ground and move forward harmoniously within the gospel music scene.

“I have listened to this story well; I think it is time for Guardian Angel and Sammy G to meet and forgive each other so that everyone can have peace. We will understand them better the day they get together and make a video together. Then I know each of them will open up well and forgive each other,” Kai urged.
