Comedian and content creator Terence Creative has issued a public warning to entertainers from the Mt. Kenya region, urging them to stop airing their personal problems online.

His strong message comes in the wake of a highly public marital dispute involving popular gospel singer Karangu Muraya and his estranged wife, Trizah.

Terence took to his social media platform on August 2, 2025, to share his concerns, suggesting that the continuous cycle of celebrity drama is damaging to careers and futures.

“Dear entertainers from Mt. Kenya, be very careful, don’t destroy yourselves. Every week it’s a new issue,” he wrote in a post that was widely shared. “We have families to grow and a future to protect. Let's not lose ourselves over clout.”

Background to the Muraya-Trizah Saga

Terence’s advice follows a widely publicised saga involving Akorino gospel artist Karangu Muraya.

The singer and his estranged wife, Trizah, have been embroiled in a public separation that has played out on social media platforms for months. The marital conflict came to light after Trizah made public accusations of abandonment, claiming her husband had left her and their children.

The drama escalated and became a major topic of discussion online, drawing in a large number of followers and fans.

The conflict was fuelled by a series of back-and-forth claims and counterclaims, which saw their private affairs become a matter of public consumption and debate.

This public airing of grievances put a spotlight on the personal lives of both individuals, garnering intense scrutiny from the public.

Following the public outcry, Karangu made a public apology to Trizah over the weekend, showing his regret for leaking audios of Trizah’s friends allegedly gossiping about her.

“I want to pour my heart out and speak to Triza Mamake Muraya, the mother of my children. Triza, I have wronged you. I have said and done things that have caused you pain. I know I have failed you, and I take full responsibility for my mistakes. I'm sorry for allowing people I assumed were your friends to discuss you,” Karangu’s long statement read in part.

Trizah, however, dismissed the apology as null and void, moments later, via her Facebook page.

The Dangers of Public Scrutiny

Terence Creative highlighted the broader issue of how public figures handle private crises. He argued that the quest for fame or "clout" can lead celebrities to a path of self-destruction.

"Today it may not make sense, but tomorrow willquestionus about what we did with our influence, did we create or destroy?"

He emphasised the importance of using one's platform to build a lasting legacy rather than to fuel temporary social media trends.
