Karangu Muraya, the Kikuyu gospel singer and philanthropist, has seen his public apology to his estranged wife, Triza Mamake Muraya, swiftly rejected.
In a dramatic turn of events, just hours after Muraya shared a lengthy and heartfelt apology on Facebook, Triza responded with a concise and impactful post of her own, simply stating: "IT'S NULL AND VOID !!!"
This terse response, posted on her own social media, has been interpreted by many online as a firm refusal of her husband's attempt at reconciliation.

A Public Betrayal
The marital troubles between the pair became a major topic of discussion on social media following the leak of an audio recording. In the audio, Muraya was heard discussing his wife with one of Triza's best friends.
The conversation reportedly involved gossip about Triza's personal life, including comments about her wearing worn-out inner garments.

Triza herself reacted to the initial leak with shock, a post that expressed her desire for the full conversation to be made public. The incident prompted another of her friends, Esther Baumbach, to apologise for her part in the conversation, acknowledging that she should not have echoed the disrespectful words.

The Apology That Fell Short
In his apology, Muraya took full responsibility for his actions. He admitted to saying and doing things that have caused her pain, and apologised for allowing people he assumed were her friends to discuss her.
“I have gone through a lot of challenges in the recent days, I have not been mentally, emotionally and socially stable, and as a result I lost focus, I'm sorry to allow pressure, frustrations and emotions to control me. And then, in the middle of everything, my brother’s sickness came in and pushed me further down emotionally,” he said.
He attributed his behaviour to recent emotional and social instability, citing his brother's sickness as a contributing factor.
"None of these are an excuse for how I have treated you. You are the mother of my children. You deserve respect and protection from me, not pain."

Muraya's message was a direct plea for forgiveness, asking Triza to "find it in your heart to remember both my wrong and my many rights."
He expressed a desire to rebuild the trust he had broken and to be a better father to their children.
“From my heart, I am asking you, to forgive me. I want to rebuild the trust I have broken. I want to be a better father to our children, now and in the future.”
The Response: "Null and Void"
However, Triza's four-word response suggests that the apology was not enough to mend the broken trust.
Her post was seen as a final and definitive statement on the matter, signaling to her followers that her husband's words hold no weight with her.
The overwhelming number of likes and appreciative emojis on her post indicate strong public support for her decision.

As the story continues to unfold, Kenyans are now left to wonder about the future of the high-profile couple.
The public nature of both the apology and the rejection has turned a private family matter into a national conversation about betrayal, forgiveness, and the complexities of modern relationships.
