It’s Official: Juma Jux and Priscilla Ojo Are Expecting!

Tanzanian music sensation Juma Jux and his Nigerian wife, Priscilla Ojo, have joyfully announced they are expecting their first child together.

The couple shared the exciting news with fans through a heartwarming joint Instagram post on Thursday, 24th July 2025, which prominently featured Priscilla's growing baby bump. The simple yet emotional caption, "Mom & Dad," quickly sent social media abuzz with congratulations from fans and celebrities alike.

The announcement comes just months after their highly publicised, multi-city wedding celebrations captivated headlines across Africa.

A Journey to Togetherness: Love, Culture, and Faith

Juma Jux and Priscilla Ojo's journey to matrimony was marked by a series of elaborate ceremonies spanning two countries, blending their rich Tanzanian and Nigerian cultures.

Their wedding festivities began in February 2025 with a Nikkah and civil wedding held in Tanzania. This was followed by a traditional Yoruba engagement ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria, on 17th April 2025, rich in cultural elegance.

Just two days later, on 19th April 2025, the couple exchanged vows in a picturesque white wedding ceremony. The celebrations culminated with a grand finale held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in May 2025.

The multiple ceremonies were partly to honour both Nigerian and Tanzanian customs and to ensure family participation, including Jux's mother, who could not travel to all events.

A significant aspect of their union involved Priscilla Ojo's conversion to Islam. Juma Jux openly shared that he guided his wife, who was Christian, towards embracing the Islamic faith before their wedding.

He admitted that convincing her was a bit difficult but attributed his success to patience and support from Islamic scholars.           

"It was a little bit difficult convincing her, but I was receiving lessons from religious leaders," Jux stated, explaining his gentle approach to her religious transformation.

The Power Couple's Path

Juma Jux, born Juma Mussa Mkambala, started his music career at 16, signing with A.M Records in 2008. He is known for his blend of R&B, Bongo Flava, and Afrobeats.

Priscilla Ojo, daughter of popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, has established herself as a fashion entrepreneur and lifestyle influencer.

The couple publicly announced their relationship in July 2024. Their journey has been widely followed on social media, with fans praising their elegance and cross-cultural love story. Their union is often seen as a symbol of unity between Nigeria and Tanzania.  

As they prepare for parenthood, fans and well-wishers continue to flood their social media pages with congratulatory messages. Priscilla's mother, Iyabo Ojo, also shared the maternity photos, offering her blessings to the couple.
