Comedian-turned-activist Eric Omondi, accompanied by his "Team Sisi Kwa Sisi" initiative, paid a visit to the family of the late comedian and content creator Mr. KK Mwenyewe over the weekend.
The visit, which took place at KK Mwenyewe's maternal home in Lari Constituency, Kiambu, aimed to offer solace and support during the family's period of profound grief.
During the visit, Omondi highlighted the family's distress, stating that they are "not okay" following the unexpected loss of their kin. He emphasized that the passing was an unforeseen event that no one had planned for.

“Of course they are not right. They are not right. We lost our brother abruptly it was something no one planned. So, it got mom and family a bit off-guard,” Omondi said.
Omondi conveyed that the purpose of their presence was to stand with the family, mourn with them, and crucially, to provide financial support to ensure KK Mwenyewe receives a decent burial.
In a direct appeal, Omondi urged fellow comedians and artists to take the lead in contributing to the family's needs. He specifically called upon well-known figures alongside himself, to be at the forefront of this support effort.

Beyond the artistic community, Omondi extended his plea to all Kenyans, encouraging them to rally behind Dorcas Waithera Kariuki, Mr KK Mwenyewe’ mother to ensure their hero receives a respectable send-off.
“Team Sisi Kwa Sisi, let's stand with mom, let's support but most importantly comedians, starting with me, Kabugi and everyone, Mulamwah, Churchill, Mammito, YY, Butita... at least let’s be the first to support mom, artists in general, let’s be the first to support mom so that we give our hero a respectable send off,” Eric pleaded.
Mr. KK Mwenyewe's mother expressed her gratitude to those standing with her family during this difficult time of mourning.
"I say thank you for coming to stand with me during this difficult time of mourning".
Despite the loss, she stated, "because we cannot fault God, we are content with that and I say thank you."
