Kiss 100 FM presenter, Mwalimu Rachel, known as a presenter on Kiss 100 FM recently lifted the lid upon her perspectives on potentially entering politics, her dedication to youth development, and her ongoing work in broadcasting.
Speaking to SPM Buzz’s Silva Kiddo during the celebration of BoxPod TV Podcast’s 100th episode, the Drive show host revealed that despite the tremendous love from her fans, she is not interested in running for a political seat, because she loves what she does away from politics.
Her primary passion is to foster positive change within society, particularly through direct engagement with young people, confirming her readiness to participate in projects aligned with this objective.
“I love doing or bringing positive change in my society. I love working with young people. So, if it's something to do with affecting that area, I'm definitely in,” she asserted.

She expressed a strong reluctance to join a system that, in her view, could compromise her initial positive intentions or lead to corruption.
"Get into the system and the system now corrupts you or the system makes it about something different from where you had started from. That’s not my thing."
Upholding Constitutional Principles
During her discussion, Mwalimu Rachel emphasized the vital importance of adhering to constitutional guidelines, especially concerning law and justice.
"The constitution is there to guide us. Can we follow the constitution, what does the Constitution say and not just give random declarations,” she said, seemingly aiming a dig at President Ruto’s recent order wanting police to shoot the legs of looters during protests.
She also stressed the sanctity of life, stating that certain declarations should not be made regardless of the situation and that life must always be protected.
She expressed concern that "life is being seen as something very simple".

Dedicated Broadcasting and Advocacy for Podcasters
Despite her various initiatives, Mwalimu Rachel reaffirmed that radio remains her primary professional engagement.
She currently hosts a show on Kiss 100 FM, airing from Monday to Friday between 3 and 7 p.m., where she aims to either "drive you home or drive you crazy" for her audience.
Furthermore, Mwalimu Rachel voiced strong support for Kenyan podcasters, expressing a fervent hope that they will begin to earn substantial income commensurate with the quality of their work.
She acknowledged the significant effort involved in producing high-quality podcast episodes and underscored their role in entertaining, informing, and keeping the public "in check".
She anticipates and hopes for more individuals to enter the podcasting space, envisioning a future where their dedication is financially rewarded.
