Kenya's diverse religious landscape continues to see individuals from various walks of life embracing new faiths, with several public figures in the past deciding to convert to Islam.
One of the most notable recent conversions is that of popular gospel DJ, Kezz Kenya who in a significant and unexpected development, made a public pronouncement about converting to Islam.

The news broke via a Facebook post from "Dj Kezz Kenya," timestamped Friday, July 12, 2025. The post’s caption explicitly states, "Alhamdulillah. We've taken our Shahada ❤️? This is the beginning of the most beautiful chapter yet!"
The Shahada is the Islamic declaration of faith, affirming belief in one God (Allah) and the prophethood of Muhammad, making this a clear and definitive statement of conversion.
However, it is yet to be known what is her new Islamic name.
