Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka have entered the final day of their Western Kenya tour, with rallies scheduled for Friday in Bungoma and Busia.

The tour is part of their national campaign aimed at rallying public support and addressing what they describe as a "liberation cause" for the country.

The two leaders will be joined by other prominent opposition figures, including Eugene Wamalwa, leader of the Democratic Action Party–Kenya (DAP-K), Justin Muturi, former Attorney General, and Fred Matiang'i, former Interior Cabinet Secretary.

On Wednesday, the delegation visited Vihiga and Kakamega counties.

While concluding the Kakamega tour, Kalonzo emphasised that the united opposition will stand with the people to fight injustices and promote unity in the region.

Kalonzo also called for unity in the Western region, asserting that its residents deserve better.

“Yesterday in Vihiga and Kakamega, we witnessed the strength of people who want better and deserve better,” Kalonzo said.

“We have just wrapped up our tour of Kakamega. Goons were sent to block us, but they were met by the brave and patriotic Gen Z front, who stood tall and unshaken,” he added.

In a social media post, Gachagua expressed his gratitude to the people of Vihiga and Kakamega for their support.

“We wrapped up day 1 of our Western tour and met with an ecstatic crowd in Malaha, Navakholo Constituency, Kakamega County,” Gachagua stated.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank the incredible people of Vihiga and Kakamega counties for your warm hospitality and love. Your enthusiasm fuels our journey toward a better Kenya. The energy and support are truly inspiring,” he said.
