The story of Mary Diana is one of resilience, growth, and fierce ambition. Born and raised in Kakamega as the third-born in a family of five siblings, Mary’s journey to the top wasn’t scripted in real estate—but life had different plans.

After completing her secondary education, Mary pursued a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and applied Statistics at the Technical University of Kenya, graduating in late 2017. Though numbers were her initial path, destiny redirected her steps. In 2018, fresh out of campus, she secured an internship at a real estate firm. It was during this time that her passion for property blossomed. The internship opened her eyes to a dynamic world of land, housing, and client relationships.
Eager to learn and grow, she soon transitioned to another real estate company where her career truly took off. Her remarkable people skills, unmatched determination, and hunger to learn saw her rise quickly—from a salesperson to team leader, and eventually to sales manager. Over five years, she built a solid reputation for excellence, ethics, and results.

By 2023, Mary took a bold leap and launched her own independent real estate agency: MD Modern Homes. The brand offered a range of services—from Airbnbs and land parcels to bungalows and maisonettes—targeting both local and diaspora clients. Her authenticity, consistency, and sharp marketing strategies catapulted her to stardom on social media, where she became a beloved figure in Kenya’s digital real estate space.
Some of her career milestones include playing a major role in successful real estate projects, handholding clients through acquisitions, and scooping prestigious accolades. Among them were the Real Estate of the Year (Individual Category) by the Kenya Professional Delta Association (KPDA) and the Young Entrepreneur Achievement Award at the 2023 National Business Leadership Awards (NABLA).

Despite the hurdles—industry competition, economic fluctuations, and tough clients—Mary remained a beacon of transparency and reliability. Her unwavering commitment to client satisfaction built trust and loyalty that defined her brand.
Tragically, Mary Diana passed away while on vacation in Dubai—a heartbreaking close to an inspiring life. But her legacy as a self-made trailblazer in Kenya’s real estate industry will live on, inspiring a new generation of dreamers and doers.
