"I am honoured to be joining KCB FC. This is a club with immense potential, a strong backing, and a clear vision for the future," Matano said.

"I am here to win, to compete, and to build a team that reflects the strength and ambition of the KCB brand," noted Matano," he added.

His appointment heralds a significant transition for the club.

The challenge is immense: to transform a team that finished mid-table into a genuine title-contender. But with Matano at the helm, guided by his experience and driven by his ambition, KCB have a fighting chance.

Club patron Azu Ogolla said the move strengthens the technical staff and aligns with a broader vision to cultivate a winning culture that reflects the ambition and potential of the KCB brand.

"Today marks a significant milestone for KCB Football Club. In Robert Matano, we welcome a highly accomplished coach with an outstanding track record, proven leadership, and a winning mentality," said Ogolla.

"His wealth of experience and championship pedigree make him the ideal candidate to guide the team into a new era of success."

Central to Matano's coaching philosophy is his unwavering dedication to youth development.

This commitment is particularly relevant for KCB FC as they build a sustainable and competitive squad for the future.

John Njogu, a seasoned and well-respected member of the local football community, will join Matano as trainer.
