Fear of fraud is driving people away from online transactions.

In Kenya, 80% of users say fraud is their main reason for abandoning online services, topping the list globally.

South Africa and Namibia follow at 71% each, while Zambia stands at 70%.

Brazil sits at 63% while the global average is 62%.

Rwanda records 57% and India trails at 46%.

These numbers highlight that fraud not only drains pockets but also erodes trust in digital platforms, stifling e-commerce growth.

The high figures in African countries signal the urgent need for stronger online security measures and better consumer education.
