Tanzanian music sensation Juma Jux, currently making waves with his highly publicized wedding, has pulled back the curtain on the extraordinary details of his marital journey with Nigerian partner Priscilla Ojo.
In an interview with Afrobeats Podcast in the UK where he accompanied Diamond Platnumz for his show, Jux revealed the intricate planning behind their union, which featured no less than seven distinct ceremonies. This multi-event celebration served not only as a testament to their love but also as a beautiful fusion of two vibrant African cultures.

The decision to host so many ceremonies, Jux explained, stemmed from a desire to do everything in a proper way. Given the diverse backgrounds of the couple – Jux hailing from Tanzania and Priscilla from Nigeria – their wedding was a meticulously planned affair that honored both their heritage and new shared beliefs.
“I did like seven ceremonies because we're in a different culture, you know, she's from Nigeria, I'm from Tanzania,” Jux revealed.
Among the elaborate proceedings, they held a Nikah, a Muslim wedding, as Priscilla had converted to Islam and now proudly bears the name Khadiza. This was followed by a civil wedding to fulfill legal requirements for papers, and a traditional Nigerian wedding, a customary staple in her culture.
To cap it all, they celebrated with two white weddings, one held in Nigeria and another in Tanzania, ensuring both families and nations could partake in their joy.
“Now, you know, she converted to Muslim. Her name is Khadiza now. So we had to do a Nikkah, and that was like Muslim wedding and we had to do civil wedding for the papers. Also we had to do traditional wedding as Nigeria, you have to do traditional wedding is important,” he added.

The love story, which began when the couple met in Rwanda at a Hennessy ball where Jux was representing the brand and Priscilla attended as a government-invited influencer, moved swiftly.
Jux described an instant, palpable chemistry, noting how easily they connected. He admired Priscilla's understanding nature and her dedication as a very hard-working woman. Their profound connection led to a remarkably quick path to matrimony, dating for only about six months before deciding to tie the knot.
Beyond the personal milestone, Jux admitted that the wedding inadvertently brought a renewed spotlight to his music career. Capitalizing on this attention, he strategically released a project titled "A Day to Remember," an EP specifically dedicated to his wife.
The seven-track EP is a collection of love songs, with every lyric and melody directly inspired by his life with Khadiza.
"Everything on that EP is about me and her," Jux shared, emphasizing that it was a heartfelt dedication for his wedding.
