Tanzanian music sensation Juma Jux, fresh off his highly publicized wedding, has offered candid insights into his enduring relationship with fellow superstar Diamond Platnumz.
Dispelling persistent rumours of being signed to Diamond's WCB Wasafi record label, Jux revealed a bond that runs far deeper than mere business – a relationship built on family, mutual respect, and a shared journey that began long before their individual rises to stardom.

Speaking to Afrobeats Podcast in the UK where he accompanied Diamond to his music tour, Jux said that Wasafi fraternity is just like his family and stressed that he operates as an independent artist.
“No, no, no. It's just family. It's just brothers. I'm not signed to him he hasn’t signed me; we're just friends,” Jux clarified unequivocally, addressing the widespread speculation about his professional ties to Diamond's label.
Their connection, he explained, is rooted in their origins. "Me and Diamond, we started together," Jux stated, recalling a pivotal moment early in their careers.
They both performed as new, young artists at a major festival in Tanzania, a stage so significant that getting to perform there signifies making it big in the industry.
"That's the day that Diamond and I both took off," Jux reflected, marking it as the genesis of their parallel ascent.

Since that foundational moment, their friendship and professional respect have only deepened. Jux highlighted their shared entrepreneurial spirit, noting that both are businessmen. They operate under a philosophy that there's enough success for everyone.
“We know like okay this is my lane, this is my lane We went being friendship, respect each other. We're both entrepreneurs me I do business too, he's a businessman too so yeah, so, we're just friends. We both have a mindset like the cake is so big we can always eat like we don't have to fight, we don't have to be against each other for everybody to win,” Jux said.
Their musical chemistry is undeniable, having yielded significant tracks that have resonated deeply with fans. Jux affirmed that they've done collaband everything since their early days.
Among their successful joint efforts, Jux mentioned songs like "Enjoy" and "Olulufemi" as tracks that "did well," along with "God Design".

The strength of their bond was recently showcased when Jux joined Diamond Platnumz for a historic performance at London's iconic Royal Albert Hall, a venue steeped in musical prestige. Diamond, who hadn't performed in London for almost seven years, personally requested Jux's presence, framing it as a cultural movement.
"Bro, I need you to be there," Diamond told Jux, who readily agreed with a resounding, "Say no more, bro".
For Jux, performing alongside Diamond was a source of immense pride, acknowledging Diamond's relentless dedication and his commitment to representing the entire East African culture, not just himself.
